Where can I adopt a dog or cat in Guyana?
You can adopt a rescued, vet-checked dog or cat from our sanctuary in Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo. See who is ready on our adopt page and message us on WhatsApp to start.
How does adopting from Fureva Hope Alive work?
Message us about the animal you like, we do a home check to confirm a fenced yard and a shaded area, then we arrange pickup or drop-off.
I found an abandoned or injured animal. What do I do?
If it is safe, move the animal to an enclosed area, take photos, and note the exact location. Then WhatsApp us on 592-615-2618 so we can advise or arrange intake if we have space.
Can I volunteer at an animal shelter in Guyana?
Yes. We need help with feeding, cleaning, socialising animals, transport, and events. Contact us to book your first shift.
How can I donate?
Send money by MMG (account 6504184) or PayPal (paypal.me/fhaarsi), or drop off food and supplies at the sanctuary by appointment.
How does fostering work?
You give a rescued animal a temporary home while it recovers from surgery or grows ready for adoption. We cover medical care and support. You provide the space and the love.
Do you take in stray animals?
Yes, with the most critical medical cases first. Space is limited, so please contact us before bringing an animal to the sanctuary.
How can I help if I cannot adopt or foster?
Sponsor an animal's vet care, donate towels, blankets, food, or medical supplies, or share our posts so more animals find homes.
