Finding a hurt or abandoned animal is stressful. You want to help, and you are not sure how. These are the steps we ask people to follow.
First, keep yourself safe
A frightened or hurt animal may not act the way you expect. Only go near it if it is safe for you to do so.
Move the animal to an enclosed area
If it is safe, move the animal somewhere it cannot run off. A closed yard or a similar enclosed space is enough for now.
Take photos and note the exact location
Photos help us understand what the animal needs. The exact location helps if someone has to come back to the spot. Note the street, the village, and any landmark.
Message us before you bring the animal in
WhatsApp us on 592-615-2618 so we can advise you or arrange intake if we have space.
Please contact us before you bring an animal to the sanctuary. Space is limited, and the most critical medical cases come first.
Our report builder puts the details into a WhatsApp message for you, so all you have to do is add your photos and press send.
If you can’t take the animal in yourself
Sending us the location and photos still helps. So does sharing our posts, which is how many animals find their homes.
